“Save The Evidence” Campaign
Saturday, October 16th

What is the Steel Hearts Every Child Matters campaign?
As we strive to support the Indigenous culture in our community, the Steel Hearts team at Steelcraft QCI Cambridge will be hosting a fundraising event for the Woodland Cultural Centre on Saturday, October 16th. Funds raised will be donated to the “Save the Evidence” campaign to raise awareness and support for the restoration of the former Mohawk Institute Residential School as they develop the building into an Interpreted Historic Site and Educational Resource.
The final goal of the project is to create a fully-realized Interpretive Centre that will be the definitive destination for information about the history of Residential Schools in Canada, the experiences of Survivors of the schools, and the impact that the Residential School system has had on our communities.
About The Event
The Steel Hearts “Every Child Matters” Fundraising Event will host vendors on site providing delicious freshly prepared food for sale with a portion of the proceeds donated to the Woodland Cultural Centre. We will also hold a Silent Auction with 100% of the proceeds donated towards this very worthy cause.
Please join us as we welcome Indigenous artists, vendors, performers, and special guests who will share their talents and stories allowing you to engage in an event dedicated to the recognition and celebration of Indigenous cultural heritage.
