Indoor Field-Erect Tanks

Steelcraft provides value-added design and on-site manufacturing services for projects where tanks must be installed indoors and where site spatial constraints preclude the fabrication of tanks in our shop.  In order to successfully execute these types of projects, our team has learned how to effectively collaborate with consulting engineers, general contractors, and end-users, from the preliminary project evaluation phase through to commissioning of tanks on-site.

  • Question 1: I want to install new fuel tanks within my facility.  How do I know if the tanks should be shop-fabricated or field-erected?

We would suggest that you reach out to us ASAP so we can help you identify your constraints and work with you to craft a solution that meets your needs.  Oftentimes, assumptions can be made early on in the process about whether tanks should be shop-fabricated or field-erected and this can lead to costly mistakes in both the specification development and tender release phases of a project.

  • Question 2: Why should I partner with Steelcraft for my indoor field-erect tank project?

You should partner with Steelcraft because we have the design, fabrication, and project management expertise to ensure that your project is completed on-time and on-budget.  We understand that indoor field-erect work can be disruptive to your day-to-day operations and that you cannot afford delays or surprises.  Our professional and courteous approach to site work is what has allowed us to successfully complete a variety of projects for critical operations including hospitals and major data centres.
